Marbury had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Athens Golden Eagles 4-2.

Marbury pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.75 runs across that stretch. As for Athens, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1.

Coincidentally, Marbury and Athens will both be playing Westminster Christian Academy the next time they take the field. Marbury will head out to face Westminster Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Athens will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
