Volleyball Recap: Pelion Takes a Loss

Pelion's tournament run continued when they took on Greenwood on Saturday. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alexia Hansen paced Pelion's offense, picking up five kills. Hansen got some help from Hayley Maxwell and her three assists. Maxwell was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Pelion's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-1. As for Greenwood, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-13.

Pelion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Lugoff-Elgin on the 20th. As for Greenwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Irmo on the 20th.
