Basketball Recap: Alexandria City Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Alexandria City was the 51-38 winner over Stafford when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Titans lost 59-33 to the Indians on Wednesday.

Despite the loss, Alexandria City still got an impressive performance from Jacari Jahi, who posted four points and three steals. Gabrielle Barnes-Thomas was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven boards and six steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stafford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sanaa Jenkins, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 19 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Jenkins a new career-high in steals (eight). Another player making a difference was Blair Hill, who earned 12 points in addition to seven steals and six boards.

Alexandria City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Stafford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alexandria City will take on Clinton Grace Christian in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stafford, they will host Riverbend at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
