Softball Recap: Menard Comes Up Short

Menard came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 22-1 to the Medina Bobcats. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Yellowjackets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Menard saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kailey Morris, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Menard's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Medina, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Menard and Medina will both be playing Richland Springs the next time they take the field. Medina will host Richland Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while Menard will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
