Statesville scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 17-12 to the Hickory Red Tornadoes. The Greyhounds have struggled against the Red Tornadoes recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Jaiden Burch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Price Hedrick, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Statesville's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Hickory, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.
