Baseball Game Preview: Windsor Jaguars vs. Rancho Cotate Cougars

The Windsor Jaguars will challenge the Rancho Cotate Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Windsor challenged Cardinal Newman on Friday. The Jaguars took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Rancho Cotate's offense. They fell just short of San Rafael by a score of 1-0 on Monday. Considering the last time the Cougars couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.

Windsor's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-5. As for Rancho Cotate, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Windsor came out on top in a nail-biter against Rancho Cotate in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
