Softball Recap: Firth Takes a Loss

Firth came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Malad Dragons, falling 21-1. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Firth saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mckenna Erickson, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Firth's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Malad, their win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Firth will square off against West Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Malad, they will take on Soda Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
