Softball Recap: Hickman County Comes Up Short

Hickman County lost against Lyon County back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Falcons fell 8-3 to the Lyons. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaylee Britton and Kayley Howell did some serious damage despite the final result: Britton went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Howell went 3-for-4 with two doubles.

Hickman County's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Lyon County, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13-1.

Looking ahead, Hickman County will venture away from home to take on Ballard Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lyon County, they will welcome Muhlenberg County at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Lyons surely won't give up without a fight.
