The Brandeis Broncos will take on the Churchill Chargers at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Brandeis hadn't beaten LEE on the road since April 16, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. Everything went Brandeis' way against LEE as Brandeis made off with an 11-3 victory. Considering the Broncos have won three contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Marina Pichardo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Peyton Miers, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. Reagan Gallegos was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Miers wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Brandeis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. Brandeis is a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Churchill). They had just enough and edged out Clark 15-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chargers have posted since February 20th.
Churchill got a massive performance out of Nia De Luna, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Wasiak, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Churchill's victory bumped their record up to 4-12-1. As for Brandeis, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Brandeis might still be hurting after the 22-5 loss they got from Churchill in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Brandeis avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
