Baseball Game Preview: Beaver Bobcats vs. Hopewell Vikings

For the second straight game, Beaver will face off against Hopewell. Beaver will welcome Hopewell at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Beaver has three straight wins, Hopewell has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Beaver took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Hopewell, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Beaver sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Hopewell on Monday. The game was the first time the Bobcats have beaten the Vikings on their field since May 12, 2022.

Ty Butler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
