Piedmont's season-opener on Tuesday wasn't quite what the team was looking for considering the end result. They and the Monroe Redhawks finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw. Both teams had to tread carefully at times as the refs weren't afraid to hand out yellow cards: Jagger Jordan was handed one for Piedmont, while Monroe got theirs courtesy of Keven Lopez-Ramirez.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piedmont will face off against Asheboro at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Monroe, they will head out to square off against West Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
