St. John's extended the longest winning streak in Southwest Prep - South this week by beating Cistercian, 28-24. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Fort Worth Country Day was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fourth in the league.
St. Andrew's's Carter Tomsu and Rhodes Legg have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Tomsu has thrown for 1993 yards this season, while Legg has 52 catches for 938 yards. Nathan Avery from St. John's leads the league in rushing with 1086 yards.
The top two teams in Southwest Prep - South will face off this week when first place St. John's takes on second place Kinkaid. The Mavericks defeated the Hawks last week, while Kinkaid bested St. Mark's.
Logan Smith of the St. John's is only 89 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Smith has rushed for 911 yards on 83 carries so far this year.
He has recorded 56 catches for 927 yards this year.
So far this year, Alex Roys has thrown for 1816 yards with 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Falcons take on Episcopal. Kinkaid's offense has racked up 346 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Knights have allowed only 171 on the year.
