Softball Game Preview: Harding Skippers vs. Pymatuning Valley Lakers

Harding is 0-5 against Pymatuning Valley since April of 2022 but things could change on Wednesday. The Skippers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lakers at 5:00 p.m.

Harding is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 25-4 to Kirtland.

Meanwhile, Pymatuning Valley had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Cardinal on Tuesday as they made off with a 25-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Lakers in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won three in a row.

Peyton Hudson made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Hudson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Allison Clark was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nataleigh Haines, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
