Meanwhile, Arab unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of James Clemens.
While Arab was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-23.
Southside's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Arab, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 34-13.
Southside beat Arab 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southside since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
