Volleyball Game Preview: Reagan Bison vs. Mourning Sharks

Reagan and Mourning are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2017, but not for long. The Bison will take on the Sharks at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Reagan's tournament run continued when they took on Downtown Doral on Saturday. The Bison fell 2-0 to the Dolphins.

Meanwhile, Mourning came up short against Miami Country Day on Thursday and fell 3-1.

While Mourning had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22, 16-25, 25-21.

Mourning's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Reagan, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Reagan came out on top in a nail-biter against Mourning in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Sharks' Alejandra Luzardo, who had 27 digs and one assist.
