Recap: Slidell Tigers vs. Belle Chasse Cardinals
The Slidell Tigers waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They claimed a resounding 80-47 win over Belle Chasse at home. Slidell has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 23 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Jaden Hookfin, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Zay Bartee was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Belle Chasse lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaylen Hughes Ingram. Despite the final result, he scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Kyle Reeves, who scored nine points.
Slidell pushed their record up to 16-7 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.89 points. As for Belle Chasse, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.
