Timber Creek Regional beats Eastern for their eighth straight win

Recap: Timber Creek Regional Chargers vs. Eastern Vikings

The Timber Creek Regional Chargers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Eastern 41-6 on the road. The result was nothing new for Timber Creek Regional, who have now won four matches by 28 points or more so far this season.

Timber Creek Regional got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Victor Oquendo out in front who threw for 160 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Karon Brookins was in the mix too, providing Timber Creek Regional with two touchdowns.

Timber Creek Regional's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Williamstown and 2-7 Eastern (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 33.3% over those games). As for Eastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Timber Creek Regional will be playing at home against Robbinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Robbinsville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 178th, while Timber Creek Regional is ranked 24th). As for Eastern, they will head out on the road to face off against Vineland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
