Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Crusaders vs. Stratford Academy Eagles

The Trinity Christian Crusaders are taking a road trip to square off against the Stratford Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Trinity Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.

While Trinity Christian's victory against Westfield School wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crusaders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-53 win over the Hornets on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stratford Academy). They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 75-18 win over Brookstone. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Eagles just coasted through the last quarter.

Stratford Academy's win came from a few key players Trinity Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Camiyah Hudson, who posted 18 points. The game was her fourth in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hatsy Russell, who had 14 points.

Trinity Christian's record now sits at 5-1. As for Stratford Academy, their record is now 3-1.

Things could have been worse for Trinity Christian, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-42 loss to Stratford Academy when the teams last played last Tuesday. Can the Crusaders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
