Gulf Shores had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Choctawhatchee Indians. The Dolphins gained 56 more yards on the day, but it was the Indians that made the best use of them.

When it comes to explaining why Gulf Shores lost, don't look at Carter Davis. Despite the final result, he picked up 104 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 59 yards.
