Basketball Recap: West Central Area Takes a Loss

If West Central Area was feeling good fresh off their 80-55 takedown of Brandon/Evansville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The West Central Area Knights took a 60-46 bruising from the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 54-50 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

West Central Area now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Sauk Centre, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

West Central Area will be home for the holidays to greet Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sauk Centre, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Montevideo at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
