Baseball Game Preview: Miramonte Matadors vs. Concord Bears

Miramonte is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Concord a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Miramonte Matadors will host the Concord Bears at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Miramonte is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since March 30, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against Moreau Catholic, falling 8-2.

Miramonte saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was George Gilbert, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Concord lost 13-1 to Northgate on Thursday.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Miramonte, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.

Miramonte was able to grind out a solid win over Concord in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 3-0. Will the Matadors repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
