Volleyball Recap: Idalia Wolves vs. Briggsdale Falcons
Idalia and Briggsdale squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Idalia had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Briggsdale Falcons by a score of 3-2. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Idalia sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-19, 17-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-12.
Jaylyn Kechter paced Idalia's offense, picking up 16 kills. Kechter got some help from
Addison Richards and her 32 assists. Richards was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Idalia's loss dropped their record down to 22-5. As for Briggsdale, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.
