Palmview is a perfect 9-0 against Cigarroa since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Lobos will take on the Toros at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Palmview has nine straight victories, Cigarroa has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

On Tuesday, Palmview beat Martin 3-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Palmview's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Martin are ranked 510th).

Meanwhile, Cigarroa lost 6-1 to Mission on Tuesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Cigarroa were already down 3-0.

Cigarroa's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Palmview, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.

Everything went Palmview's way against Cigarroa when the teams last played back in January, as Palmview made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lobos since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
