After low-scoring totals in their previous three contest, Adams brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They blew past the Irving Tigers 11-4 on Friday. The Cougars not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 17, 2025 (when they won 16-0).
Justino Chavarria was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Chavarria was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Donovan Cruz was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Martinez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases.
