Volleyball Recap: Nichols Comes Up Short

Nichols lost against Mount St. Mary Academy back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunder. Vikings fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Thunder since Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21, 17-25, 25-21.

Nichols has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Mount St. Mary Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-10-1.

Looking ahead, Nichols will venture away from home to face off against Nardin Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount St. Mary Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
