Lake Fenton extended the longest winning streak in Genesee Area - Red this week by beating Goodrich, 34-7. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Blue Devils.
Lake Fenton moved up to 127 from 163 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Eric Doyle's team climbed the ranks as a result of a 34-7 win over the Martians.
Johnson's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tony Saldona threw for 106 yards and Tyler Patterson had 80 yards receiving. On the ground Kody Goodman chipped in 62 yards. Goodman helped Johnson's passing attack out by catching six balls for 24 yards.
Johnson's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Saldona has thrown for 439 yards and one touchdown this season, while Patterson has 15 catches for 199 yards. Equandre Jackson leads the league in rushing with 371 yards.
A big matchup in Genesee Area - Red this week will be when Perry takes on the Blue Devils. As it stands, the Ramblers are in fourth, while Lake Fenton is in first.
Perry took down Durand 41-2 last week, the largest margin of any game.
