Soccer Recap: Patrick Henry Takes a Loss

Patrick Henry was the 2-1 winner over Cave Spring when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights on Friday. While losing is never fun, Patrick Henry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Cave Spring are ranked seventh).

Patrick Henry has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Cave Spring, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Patrick Henry has already played their next game, a 4-0 loss against Blacksburg on the 29th. As for Cave Spring, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 6-0 win against William Byrd on the 28th.
