Baseball Game Preview: Hays Indians vs. Piper Pirates

The Hays Indians will be taking part in a tournament against the Piper Pirates at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Hays' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Piper has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

On Tuesday, Hays was able to grind out a solid win over Dodge City, taking the game 11-6. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Demons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Piper didn't have quite enough to beat Gardner-Edgerton on Thursday and fell 4-2.

Piper's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Hays, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
