Ooltewah won the last time they faced Sale Creek and things went their way  on Wednesday too. The Owls were the clear victors by  an  11-3 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Owls have won 18 matchups by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Emmerson Reed made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  tossed six innings while giving up  three earned runs off   seven  hits. What's more,  she posted four  strikeouts, the most she's  had since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kaylin Leblanc, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more,  she posted two  RBI, the most she's  had since back in March.  Kaleigh Balla was another key player,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
Ooltewah has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 15 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Sale Creek,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-6-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ooltewah will welcome McMinn Central  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Sale Creek, they will square off against McMinn County at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
