Soccer Game Preview: Vancleave vs. East Central

The Vancleave Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the East Central Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Vancleave's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over Laurel. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, East Central entered their tilt with Gautier on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Gators 6-0. Give the Hornets' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Vancleave's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for East Central, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3-1.

Vancleave might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from East Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Vancleave avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
