Softball Recap: Villa Madonna Comes Up Short

Villa Madonna lost against Williamstown back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Vikings fell 7-3 to the Demons. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cam Kratzer put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Kratzer was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Rosemary Rice made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Villa Madonna's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Williamstown, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.

Looking ahead, Villa Madonna will challenge Dixie Heights at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Williamstown, they will face off against Calvary Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Demons are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
