Volleyball Recap: Bellaire Comes Up Short on the Road Against Shadyside

Bellaire had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Shadyside Tigers, falling 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-7, 25-13.

Ali Weatherson was the offensive standout of the contest as she had four digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Addasyn Melanko, who had four digs and three aces.

Shadyside has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coincidentally, Bellaire and Shadyside will both be playing River the next time they take the court. The Big Reds will host the Pilots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Tigers will host them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
