Preview: Foundation Christian Academy Falcons vs. Clarksville Christian
The Foundation Christian Academy Falcons will head out on the road to challenge Clarksville Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Foundation Christian Academy suffered their biggest loss yet this season last Monday. They were beaten by Monroe County 60-15. While losing is never fun, Foundation Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while Monroe County is ranked 87th).
Meanwhile, Clarksville Christian managed to keep up with South Haven Christian until halftime last Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Clarksville Christian ended up on the wrong side of a tough 57-35 walloping at the hands of South Haven Christian. Clarksville Christian has not had much luck with South Haven Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kreid Smith, who scored four points. Cyler Middleton was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Foundation Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Clarksville Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
Foundation Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Clarksville Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 54-48 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Clarksville Christian's Brody Cardwell, who scored 21 points. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Foundation Christian Academy still be able to contain him? There's only one way to find out.
