Basketball Recap: Lexington Catholic Comes Up Short

Lexington Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to the Rowan County Vikings at home by a 64-46 margin. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Vikings are ranked 49th).

Lexington Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Rowan County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Lexington Catholic will head out to face off against Madison Southern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lexington Catholic is facing Madison Southern at the right time seeing as Madison Southern is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Rowan County, they will take on Boyd County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
