The result was an unpleasant reminder to Poudre Community Academy of the 23-13 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Poudre Community Academy lost on Monday, one person who can't be blamed is Joslyn Schaeffer. Despite the final result, she scored nine points along with seven rebounds. Breckyn Jones was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.
Poudre Community Academy dropped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.2 points per game. As for Two Roads Charter School, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6.
Poudre Community Academy will face off against Loveland Classical at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Loveland Classical presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Poudre Community Academy in Colorado (Loveland Classical is ranked 161st, while Poudre Community Academy is ranked 326th). As for Two Roads Charter School, they will be playing at home against Ascent Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
