Preview: Williamstown Blue Devils vs. Craftsbury Academy Chargers

Williamstown is 3-0 against the Chargers since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Williamstown Blue Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Craftsbury Academy Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Williamstown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Williamstown didn't have too much trouble with the Bullets at home as they won 54-37.

It was another big night for Evan Bailey, who scored 27 points along with seven steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Williamstown's points. Another player making a difference was Colby Laggner, who scored six points along with 15 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Craftsbury Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. The matchup between them and Stowe wasn't particularly close, with Craftsbury Academy falling 58-42.

Williamstown has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Craftsbury Academy, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Everything came up roses for Williamstown against the Chargers in their previous meeting back in January of 2020 as the squad secured a 70-29 victory. Does Williamstown have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
