Fremont is on a seven-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Santa Clara a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Fremont Firebirds will be playing at home against the Santa Clara Bruins at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Fremont's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Los Altos on Thursday. They took a 9-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The shutout was out of character for the Firebirds seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Meanwhile, Santa Clara had to suffer through a 42-6 loss at the hands of Terra Nova.

Fremont will have to contain Joseph Manueli as he made an impact in Santa Clara's last game. He rushed for 94 yards and one score.

Santa Clara's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Fremont came up short against Santa Clara in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 27-21. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Manueli, who rushed for 216 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.8 yards per carry.
