Basketball Recap: Cimarron Comes Up Short

Cimarron lost against Holcomb back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cimarron Bluejays fell 59-47 to the Holcomb Longhorns. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Longhorns are ranked 33rd).

Cimarron's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Holcomb, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Bluejays face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Colby will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Cimarron surely won't give up without a fight. As for Holcomb, they will square off against Hugoton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
