The Fruitdale Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Jackson, falling 72-15. Fruitdale found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post 13 fewer assists than your opponent.
Deion Taylor was Fruitdale's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Taylor also led the team in rebounds with five.

Leading Jackson to victory were Micah Caster and William Joseph Taylor. Caster scored 12 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals, while Joseph Taylor scored 15 points along with 3 steals. Keeyun Chapman was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Fruitdale's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Jackson, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
