Softball Recap: La Sierra Academy Starts Season with Defeat at Home

La Sierra Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 25-8 to the California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs on Thursday. The Knights have struggled against the Cubs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-11.

While La Sierra Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
