After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Belleville East, Valmeyer was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Lebanon Greyhounds 10-2. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Tallen Jakimauskas looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has become a key player for Valmeyer: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 3-5 otherwise.
