Basketball Recap: Bentworth Skates Past Riverview with Ease

Bentworth entered their tilt with Riverview on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They really took it to the Riverview Raiders for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-21 win. That 28 point margin sets a new team best for the Bearcats this season.

Leading Bentworth to victory were Christopher Harper and Ben Hays. Harper posted 20 points and three steals, while Hays put up 12 points and eight rebounds. Harper's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Lucas Burt was another key player, putting up four points along with 13 boards and five steals.

Bentworth's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Riverview, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Bentworth and Riverview could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Bentworth will square off against Jeannette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 357 places (508 vs. 151). Meanwhile, Riverview (ranked 417th) will meet Neighborhood Academy (ranked 48th) at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
