Basketball Game Preview: University Tigers vs. Booker T. Washington Warriors

The University Tigers just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Booker T. Washington Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. University is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season.

Booker T. Washington is hoping to do what Pleasant View couldn't on Monday: put an end to University's winning streak, which now stands at three games. University took down Pleasant View 51-32. The Tigers pushed the score to 47-23 by the end of the third, a deficit Pleasant View cut but never quite recovered from.

University's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but LaTrevius Gant led the charge by putting up 13 points and three steals. Gant is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Michael Serino, who posted ten points and three steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Booker T. Washington). They came out on top against Mitchell by a score of 69-56 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

University's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Booker T. Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
