Softball Game Preview: Quaker Valley Quakers vs. Hopewell Vikings

Quaker Valley hasn't had much luck against Hopewell recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Quakers are taking a road trip to take on the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Quaker Valley is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Mohawk Area, falling 12-0.

Meanwhile, Hopewell fell victim to Mohawk Area and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 9-0 to the Warriors. The Vikings have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Hopewell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Katkich, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Hopewell's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Quaker Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Quaker Valley might still be hurting after the 14-2 loss they got from Hopewell in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Quakers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
