Football Game Preview: Ririe Bulldogs vs. West Jefferson Panthers

The Ririe Bulldogs will square off against the West Jefferson Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Ririe will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Firth, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bulldogs really took it to the Cougars for the full four quarters, racking up a 45-18 win. The victory was just business as usual for the Bulldogs, who after six games remain undefeated this season.

Kolter Lewis produced another solid performance rushing for 236 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry, and also picking up 58 receiving yards and one score. Those 236 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Garrett Van Noy, who rushed for 77 yards and a pair of TDs.

Ririe didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Bryce Barber, Wyatt Taylor, and Cooper Brown picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, West Jefferson humbled Grangeville with a 34-6 victory.

Ririe's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for West Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Ririe beat West Jefferson 26-18 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
