Basketball Recap: Harrison Central Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Harrison Central won the last time they faced Gulfport, and Saniyah Murray did her part to make sure it happened again. The Harrison Central Red Rebels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-49 victory over the Gulfport Admirals on Saturday thanks in part to Murray, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 15 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last four games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Rihanna Anderson, who posted eight points in addition to 11 boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Harrison Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Gulfport, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Harrison Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-42 win against Ocean Springs on the 27th. Gulfport has also already played their next game, a 46-16 loss against Biloxi on the 27th.
