Soccer Game Preview: Stuart W. Cramer vs. South Point

Stuart W. Cramer hasn't had much luck against South Point recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Storm will look to defend their home pitch against the Red Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Stuart W. Cramer has given up an average of 3.3 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Stuart W. Cramer is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to nine goals on April 8th, they were much more limited against Forestview last Thursday. They lost 9-0 to the Jaguars. While losing is never fun, Stuart W. Cramer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while Forestview are ranked 121st).

Meanwhile, South Point entered their tilt with North Gaston last Thursday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The result was nothing new for South Point, who have now won 11 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting North Gaston from everywhere, as nine different players booted in a goal. Jyi'Yanna Watkins led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

South Point's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five matchups. As for Stuart W. Cramer, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
