Bishop Ready hasn't had much luck against Buckeye Valley recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Silver Knights will host the Barons at 5:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Bexley hit Bishop Ready with a six-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Silver Knights fell just short of the Lions by a score of 13-12.
Kyra Tibbs and Rylan Taylor did some serious damage despite the final result: Tibbs went 1-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI, while Taylor went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Khloe Maurer, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Buckeye Valley waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They put the hurt on the Rangers with a sharp 14-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Barons, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Lily Callis, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Young, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Buckeye Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in seven consecutive matchups.
Bishop Ready's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Buckeye Valley, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
