Basketball Recap: Families Instructing Students Homeschool Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Families Instructing Students HomeSchool entered their game against Ruskin Christian on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Families Instructing Students HomeSchool Hawks took a 35-18 bruising from the Ruskin Christian Warriors. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Julianna Lamon was Families Instructing Students HomeSchool's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Lamon also led the team in rebounds with nine. Makayla Calzada took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Families Instructing Students HomeSchool's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-7. As for Ruskin Christian, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-1.

Families Instructing Students HomeSchool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-22 loss against Braden River on the 27th. Ruskin Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
