With a playoff win on the line, Sherman Oaks CES rose to the challenge on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 40-20 margin over the Animo Robinson Monarchs. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won eight matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sherman Oaks CES to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daniel Truong, who rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Truong showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 51 yards. Liam Clinger was another key pass catcher, gaining 181 total yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Sherman Oaks CES was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 282 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 254 rushing yards in five consecutive games.

Another reason for the win was Sherman Oaks CES' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for ten sacks. It was truly a group effort as Pablo Caballeros, Judah Sapong, and Jacob Ashikian picked up two apiece. Ashikian is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Sherman Oaks CES got some further help from Nick Fuss: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Sherman Oaks CES' victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Animo Robinson, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6.

As of now, neither Sherman Oaks CES nor the Monarchs have any future games scheduled.
